The Federal government has banned importation of vehicles into Nigeria through the land outskirts. 

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Mr Wale Adeniyi, said this in an announcement made accessible to newsmen on Monday in Lagos. 

As indicated by the announcement, the preclusion arrange covers all new and utilized vehicles. 

"The boycott is continuation of a Presidential mandate confining all vehicle imports to Nigerian seaports as it were. The request produces results from Jan. 1, 2017.
