Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has tested President Muhammadu Buhari to address Nigerians.
NLC, in response to a remark by presidential guide on media, Femi Adesina, that nobody can drive Buhari to talk, noticed that open appearance by the nation's pioneer would put to rest bits of gossip about his death.
General Secretary of the NLC, Dr. Subside Ozo-Eson, told Punch that "In the online networking, stories course without affirmation; I believe that the least demanding route is to talk freely to the country in light of the fact that the subjects are worried about their pioneers' whereabouts.
"On the off chance that there are the individuals who organized bits of gossip and they are not valid, the most straightforward route is for him to contact Nigerians through an open appearance and an announcement.
"Nigerians have a privilege to be sure about the wellbeing circumstance of their President and the general population who arrange bits of gossip and unconfirmed reports, one would wish for him to challenge their false front by openly tending to the subjects."
In his response, Executive Secretary, Anti-defilement Network, Ebenezer Oyetakin, blamed the call for Buhari to address the country.
He stated, "I don't subscribe to that. It likens to insidiousness from such individuals. We are Africans. We have social train on a few issues.
"He has done the proper thing by giving over to the VP as Acting President. Give us a chance to be quiet and keep up a feeling of respectability and regard to the foundation of administration.''
